| Statistics suggest that the timing of intercourse during your cycle may have some correlation with your baby’s gender. Please note that if you are interested in knowing how to conceive a girl or how to conceive a boy, there are unfortunately no scientific studies yet that prove or disprove that you can determine your baby’s sex naturally through timing of intercourse. The concept that timing may influence gender is based on claims that suggest: Boys: Y-Chromosome sperm ("male") swim faster, and die sooner. Having intercourse on the day of ovulation (when you see full ferning patterns through your Maybe Baby) may help couples interested in conceiving a boy. Girls: X-Chromosome sperm ("female") swim slower, but live longer. Having intercourse 2-3 days before the day of ovulation (when you see a transitional phase – a combination of dots and ferns - through your Maybe Baby) may help couples interested in conceiving a girl. Please bear in mind that scientific studies to prove or disprove these claims have been widely inconclusive. Although Maybe Baby can help you monitor your monthly fertility cycle to predict ovulation timing, and may be helpful in influencing the gender of your baby, it in no way guarantees pregnancy with its use, nor does it guarantee the gender of children conceived with its help.
